Being a supervisor is about the ethical treatment of clients and being supportive of the therapist building their business and maintaining that momentum.  I thoroughly enjoy working as a supervisor and I do hope they feel the same.

A major part of being a supervisor is ensuring that as therapists we continue to learn and keep up to date, via training, reading and updating our knowledge through Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

As with clients I see supervisees either face to face or online via Zoom, please feel free to contact me for further information or an informal chat.  Below are testimonials from current supervisees, I look forward to hearing from you, because it is good to remember that nothing has to be the way it’s always been.

If I can help you with your supervision requirements please do contact me via the contact form or call me on 07956 369461

“I find working with Melanie is hugely beneficial to me as a therapist. Since I began developing and building my practise, Melanie has offered me continual support both in working with clients and in deepening my knowledge and understanding of therapeutic approaches and practice. Throughout the session, she creates an encouraging, supportive space for me to discuss ideas and therapeutic options and whenever I have experienced any problems, she has been tremendously supportive and helpful. At the end of our sessions, I invariably feel both inspired and enlightened. I am extremely grateful to have someone with such dedication, skill and ability to help me steer my own course and navigate my future path. ”

Melanie is an amazing supervisor. She is very supportive and non-judgemental, which are qualities that every supervisee needs to be able to grow as a practitioner. She offers some helpful insights and perspectives. Working alone can be quite isolating and it’s good to have someone I can go to who is both experienced and approachable.

The other part of supervision with Melanie that I find value with is from learning new techniques and ways of working with clients.

As a Hypnotherapist , Counsellor and Relationship Specialist, I frequently blend hypnotherapy together with counselling skills, which means I can offer my clients a service that suits them and the issues they bring.

As we live quite a distance apart, we have our sessions via Skype. This works extremely well, and the internet connection has never been a problem. I can thoroughly recommend Melanie, as an experienced supervisor with an amazingly warm heart too.

My experience of Melanie Phillips as my chosen supervisor has been awesome. I entered into this being somewhat sceptical, memories relating to fear of going into the headmasters office occurred which were instantly put at ease. Melanie is supportive, informative, dependable, easy to get along with and the rapport she builds with you continues to grow and flourish with you as you grow as a practising therapist, a strong friendship also develops, giving anyone who chooses to work with her a win-win experience.
