March 2017

I am so pleased to be featured in this week’s copy of Woman’s Weekly, Health Choices section. Although they have put I now live in Dundee when I actually live in the beautiful harbour town of Dunbar on the East Coast of Scotland.

It explains the reason I love my work is the impact it has on clients, opening their lives in so many ways. Sometimes we live we pain, both physical and emotional, for so long that it becomes a part of our identity, we forget that we can let go of the pain and move our lives forward. I mainly work with clients who have anxiety and depression, it is wonderful seeing them embracing their lives once more.

Sessions are available in person or via the internet. I truly enjoy working as a therapist and supervisor to other therapists. While the training I received was in-depth I enjoy continually learning and challenging my own beliefs and thought processes.

Our unconscious governs so much of our behaviour and life, why not let it work in your favour instead of following old patterns and beliefs, after all you have changed a lot naturally over the years.

I hope you enjoy this small piece and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me, because nothing has to stay the same.

Wishing you all that is good.

This article is about how to deal with the stress of family at Christmas. There is an old saying that guests are like fish, after three days they should be off! Sadly Christmas and New Year celebrations tend to last a bit longer.

It mentions that if you change your response to others then they have no choice but to amend their behaviour towards you, this is something I teach clients and it holds them in good stead with regard to work or home situations.

Also the wonderful 7/11 breathing technique, this is where you breathe in for the count of 7 through your nose and out for the count of 11 through you mouth, do this 5-6 times whenever you need to. This slows down the adrenaline in your body and allows you to react in a reasoned manner, it also distracts any negative thought patterns when you are counting.

It is a simple technique that works on a couple of levels very effectively.

This feature within the article is regarding EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and its use with regard to stress. EFT is a wonderful technique that I teach to clients, it can be used for stress, pain management, and a whole host of other therapeutic reasons.

It is very simple and easy to use, when I teach clients I also give them a hand out to remind them of how to use EFT for maximum effect. Clients have found this so beneficial that I am planning on running EFT training days in 2017, so do please keep watch for future dates and locations.
