Recently I was driving along and noticed that my wipers weren’t clearing the windscreen as they should.  This continued on and off for a couple of weeks.  I just put up with the windscreen being how it was and when necessary sprayed the windscreen and cleaned it up, all temporary fixes.  Eventually I brought new wipers and changed them over.  Immediately I saw the difference, I could see clearly through the windscreen.

This got me thinking, how much in our lives do we put up with things, we don’t always consciously decide not to do anything about.  It’s just that they become our new ‘normal’ and we accept them into our lives.

Sometimes it does us all good to take a step back from our day to day lives and reassess what is important, what we enjoy, what and who we love in our lives, how we spend our precious time.  On occasion it can help to speak to someone who has no agenda, no judgement and in complete confidence.  Because no matter how much our family and friends love us they have an opinion and view of us and that can sometimes cloud our conversations and decisions.
